1. Why were you banned?

It says there was a cheat detection. No way or I would have done much better killing all you guys. Lucky if I get a 50/50 kill ratio.

2. Who banned you?

Steam!

3. If we ask for it, will you provide a demo?

4. Why should we unban you?

No reason for the ban to start with. Also, I have a good referral. LO3Heat...known him for years.

5. If you are unbanned will you be an asshole or just get back into the game?

I hope I never was one. Unless my lack of experience gave me that title, which I doubt.

6. What is your steamid? We will need this to unban you. You can get it from playing the game and in console type "status". Your steam id will look like this: "STEAM_0:0:000000". You must post your entire steam id to be considered.

This came from CSS, since I cant connect to CS on your server. (BTW, pretty much the only one I play on. Nice to see many of the same names when you play and many of you guys have helped me with other issuse, like "sprays"

I even put the IP in there again and you can see, server not responding.

The 1st one in my fav list was the one I would always connect to until last night. Yours! I re-entered the IP and got the message on the right!

I don't think the 66.36.236.37:27015 server will respond until Defender sets it back up. That's the original server that was shut down.

The new servers are there in your servers list under AiW.

no, this is what i thought, bwolf man, this is a forum to ask for amnesty if you were "banned" from the punx server specifically. this would mean that an admin had to physically type in your id and kick/ban you.


what happened to you is Steam's Anti-Cheat System (VAC) detected cheats on your account and has banned your steam id from all VAC Secure servers.

you need to go to steam and figure out what you downloaded to your account that is popping up as a cheat. they have a help page somewhere.

The only thing I can think of is a few sprays I installed. But they worked after I installed them. Those damm sprays!

I have not done anything other than that.

Replaced a file called "temp...something in the CS/cstrike folder.

Is Steam the only fix for me?

what would happen if I uninstalled it and re-installed it with another account?

lol you dont have to re-inistall for another account...just add it. I have two on my puter..one is my bfs and one is mine. go to steampowered.com (i think) and look on their forums or send an email to one of the steam people? if steam banned you then they've been watching you for a while. gl

If you are going to purchase a new copy of the game, make sure you delete all previous versions of Valve's software prior to doing the install and make sure you get rid of any cheats you've installed (unfortunately, this might even require re-formatting your hard-drive).

If your account is banned then any new key (like if you buy CZ for example) you assign to that account will be banned as well. To prevent this, you should create a new Steam account so you can access VAC enabled servers with your new key.
