Let's move the server, we're moving to a "Cheaper" and "Faster" service provider.

Well let's see I pinged 30 when the server was oh lets say 1000 miles from me (less then actual distance) and now the server is oh 25 miles from me, and I ping 130. I just wanted to ask, was the "Cheaper" meaning quality?

I whole-heartedly agree. The move was a mistake. Sure, some east cost players have nice pings, but it's pretty much alienated all of the western and central US.
what they are saying is kinda true, i was playing a while. I would have great ping for 30 seconds then everyones ping would jump up, mine reaching around 90... some people i saw reached 500+ 8O ... im wondering if its just issues for tonight or if this is a new problem we are going to have to deal with?
It may have been me earlier creating the spikes with some network changes to the server.

Also I played last night for a couple hours with CLutch and Nina and the pings were excellent all night. At one point it was 17 players and it was still excellent.

While I did see twice some quick lag...it wasnt a persistent problem. The old line was a piece of shit. If you pinged 30 at the old server wet, then you were the only one.

At this location half the players are under 60 while the old server had 12 players and we would average over 80 with few players below 50. That wasn't acceptable.

If you also see some serious jumps from one player that might be them lagging the whole server. The highpingkicker boots them after 3 rounds if they are over 200.

You bozos just play and leave the backend to an expert. Sorry for alienating the rest of the country but we are in the East Coast...Its important that the server have a solid east coast line. Also note: the place I moved it to is a more professional ISP with better redundancy and multiple hop points. In other words they are connected bettr to the web.

One thing I may have to do is lower the amount of stats updating. If you notice lag and its about 45 minutes after the hour...that could be the Psychostats being generated. I plan to reduce them to every 4 hours to see if that helps out.

Just give me some time to iron out the wrinkles. Its something I am on top of.
central doesn't have a problem the thing is that when my ping wit up so did everybody eles's ping wit up.
to be honest we should all just read dead birds. they taste funny like hot stuff and ugs. moins i know you like it, shift for the rodger bot.
Then we all agree. Very Happy Shift for the rodger pots indeed!!! Can I get a yarble...yarb..yarb...yarble!!! POINTS!!!!!!!
yarble yarble yarble yarble!!!!!!!!!!

No, I wasn't the only one there. Even when the server was close to full, I still had a better ping than I do, now.

Ahem. I know my fair share about computers, the Internet, and how each work. Probably more than 90% of the people online today do. Maybe even more than you.

I was on your server for a total of about 3 hours straight last night. I took many screenshots of the pings, but I'm only going to post one. I feel it will get the point across.

It was like this almost all night long.

it all seems to be good now though....but at that time it was bad. but now i see all good pings pretty much
I dont think that those pings will be the norm...

I might have been working on the server at the time. Any number of elements might have created some probs. I also run a webserver, a mail server, mysql, and hourly and hourly psychostats cron job.

I will watch for anything like this that happens.

Trust me that the new line is better for MOST players and that we arent getting fucking throttled like we were before. Before I was on a shared 10MB pipe with 4 other systems. Now I am on a 10MB pipe all by my lonesome and it shows. Now the NOC at the time I think was having some DOS attacks and that is why overall our pings may have been high. Shit happens. LMK if it persists.
